-Submerge the cap in lukewarm water and gently rub it with soapy water (detergent, dish soap, or hand soap).
-You can use a small brush to scrub dirtier areas. Then, rinse with clean water and wring with a sponge cloth (e.g., a washcloth). Never put the cap in the dryer; it could shrink.
-Always let it air dry (without twisting to wring it out, to avoid the risk of deforming it).
